Ceapa pane


2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon drained horseradish
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 large sweet onion, such as Vidalia (about 1 pound)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Freshly ground black pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 gallon soy or corn oil
Kosher salt


Combine all of the dip ingredients in a bowl, cover and refrigerate.

Slice the onion. Whisk the flour, cayenne, paprika, thyme, oregano,cumin and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper in a bowl. In a small deep bowl, whisk the eggs,milk and 1 cup water.

Crispy din piept pui


 1 piept de pui dezosat 
400 ml lapte 
pudra de usturoi/4-5 catei de usturoi 
2 oua mari 
100-150 g faina 
O lingura amidon sau fulgi cartofi instant cca 2 linguri
o punga cereale de porumb 
boia de ardei dulce/iute 
ulei pentru prajit


Taie pieptul de pui in fasii de 4-5 cm, cu grosimea de 1 cm.Intr-un castron incapator, pune laptele, urmat de pudra de usturoi sau cateii de usturoi pisati, sare, piper si boia de ardei, dulce sau iute, dupa preferinta. Amesteca laptele incat sa incorporezi toate condimentele, apoi adauga pieptul de pui si acopera castronul cu folie sau capac si da-l la frigider pentru 30-60 minute.
Dupa ce timpul s-a scurs, scoate castronul din frigider si trece strips-urile de pui rand pe rand prin oul batut – faina...

Alune sau nuci glazurate

1/3 cup dark-brown sugar
2/3 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt (I might up this by a 1/2 tsp. next time for more of a sweet/salty balance)
Generous pinch of cayenne pepper (I swapped this with 1/4 teaspoon of hot smoked paprika)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pound walnut or pecan halves or whole peeled hazelnuts
1 egg white, room temperature
1 tablespoon water

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix sugars, salt, cayenne, and cinnamon, making sure there are no lumps; set aside. Beat egg white and water until frothy but not stiff. Add walnuts, and stir to coat evenly. Sprinkle nuts with sugar mixture, and toss until evenly coated. Spread sugared nuts in a single layer on a cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally...

Biscuiti dulci – sarati


50 saltine crackers (approx.)
2 sticks (1 cup) butter, cubed
1 cup soft light brown sugar, packed
2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 to 1 cup MM’s, chopped nuts or sliced almonds


Pre-heat oven to 325°F.
Line a large jelly roll pan with aluminum foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray and then line the pan with saltine crackers.
Place the butter and sugar in a medium sized pot over low medium-low heat. Stir until the butter is melted. Once the butter has melted, bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes. Stir constantly.
Once it’s nice and bubbly, remove pan from heat and pour evenly over saltine crackers. Spread mixture with a knife… however it doesn’t have to be perfect. Try to move fast during this part so the toffee doesn’t harden.
